Cerita Kancil dan Domba dalam Bahasa Inggris dan Artinya

The Mouse Deer and the Sheep

Once upon a time, there was a clever mouse deer who lived in the forest. He liked to trick other animals for fun. One day, he saw a flock of sheep grazing in the meadow. He thought of a way to fool them.

He approached the sheep and said, “Hello, my friends. Do you know who I am?” The sheep looked at him curiously and said, “No, we don’t. Who are you?” The mouse deer smiled and said, “I am the king’s messenger. I have an important message for you from the king.”

The sheep were surprised and asked, “What is the message?” The mouse deer said, “The king has invited you to his palace. He wants to give you a special treat. He has prepared a lot of delicious food for you. You just have to follow me to the palace.”

The sheep were very happy and excited. They said, “Wow, that sounds wonderful. Thank you for bringing us this good news. We will follow you to the palace.” The mouse deer said, “You’re welcome. But before we go, there is one thing you have to do. You have to give me some of your wool. The king likes wool very much. He will be very pleased if you give him some.”

The sheep agreed and said, “Of course, we will give you some of our wool. How much do you need?” The mouse deer said, “Just a little bit. Enough to make a coat for myself. It’s very cold in the palace. I need something to keep me warm.” The sheep said, “Okay, that’s fair. You can take some of our wool.”

The mouse deer then took a pair of scissors and cut some wool from each sheep. He made a coat for himself and put it on. He said, “Thank you, my friends. You are very generous. Now, let’s go to the palace.” The sheep said, “You’re welcome. Let’s go.”

The mouse deer led the sheep to the palace. But when they arrived, they realized that they had been tricked. The palace was actually a butcher’s shop. The mouse deer had sold them to the butcher for money. He said, “Goodbye, my friends. Enjoy your treat. I have to go now. I have another message to deliver.” He then ran away, leaving the sheep in the hands of the butcher.

The sheep were very scared and angry. They said, “You liar. You are not the king’s messenger. You are a traitor. You have betrayed us. You have sold us to the butcher. How could you do this to us?” The mouse deer said, “I’m sorry, my friends. I was just joking. I didn’t mean to hurt you. It was just a prank. Please forgive me.” But the sheep did not forgive him. They cursed him and wished him bad luck.

The moral of the story is: Do not trust strangers easily. They may have bad intentions. And do not play tricks on others. They may backfire on you.

Terjemahan:

Dia berkata, “Selamat tinggal, teman-teman. Nikmati perjamuan kalian. Saya harus pergi sekarang. Saya punya pesan lain untuk disampaikan.” Dia kemudian lari, meninggalkan domba-domba di tangan tukang daging.

Domba-domba sangat takut dan marah. Mereka berkata, “Kamu pembohong. Kamu bukan utusan raja. Kamu adalah pengkhianat. Kamu telah mengkhianati kami. Kamu telah menjual kami kepada tukang daging. Bagaimana kamu bisa melakukan ini kepada kami?” Kancil berkata, “Maaf, teman-teman. Saya hanya bercanda. Saya tidak bermaksud menyakiti kalian. Itu hanya lelucon. Tolong maafkan saya.”

Mereka mungkin punya niat jahat. Dan jangan main-main dengan orang lain. Mereka mungkin berbalik menyerang kamu.
